This Week's Sermon

"Where we are going we don't need roads"

Listening to the rejection of Jesus from his friends and neighbors of his hometown this week, I am not sure that I really want to be part of this project of holiness.  Are you sure you want to share in this journey? But this rejection happens all the time. Rejection is hard.  It is hard for anyone.  But those who know me well know that I am very aware of how it feels to be rejected. If we observe the people of first century Palestine closely, we might come to understand that they are much like we are in our own present culture.  There are many reasons that the hometown folks might have rejected Jesus. What ways do we still reject him?
