Confirmation
Confirmation is a 13 week comprehensive faith formation experience for youth 6th grade and above. Along with an adult mentor, youth in confirmation are invited to a journey through a time of discovery and commitment to the Christian faith. Led by the pastors, Confirmation also involves service projects, field trips to Duke Chapel and Judea Reform Synagogue, games, and craft projects. Weekly meetings are held in the spring between Ash Wednesday and Pentecost. Sunday School
Sunday school classes for middle school and high school youth are offered at 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings. These classes offer Bible based instruction and times of discussion.
RUMY is Resurrection United Methodist Youth. For young people in grades 6-12, this fellowship and service group meets weekly at Church on Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00 p.m. We combine games with worship, music, and programs to both challenge and support youth as they are formed in Christian discipleship. A supper ($2 donation) is part of the RUMY Sunday experience as well. Read more >> Salkehatchie Summer ServicePastor Simpson and the youth attended Salkehatchie Summer Service camp each year in June in Shelby, NC. They spend the week replacing roofs, decks and doing home renovations in and around Shelby. Learn more at salkehatchie.org
