Pastor's CornerOur Mission StatementThe mission of RUMC is to be a community where all persons may receive the grace and forgiveness of God and become disciples of Jesus Christ. We gather to worship God, to proclaim the good news that Jesus is Lord and Savior, and to grow as believers and disciples. We seek to serve one another and the world by reaching out in love and service as Christ’s hands.
Coming Soon--Vacation Bible School 2012Join us July 9-13, 2012 for Operation Overboard where kids will journey miles below the water's surface into God's word to find what true faith is all about. Make plans now to join in the fun and go deep with God! Contact the church office at 919-489-6552 or office@resurrectionumc.org for more information, to sign up to attend, or to volunteer to help!
![]() Mission MinistriesInterfaith Hospitality Network is one of the ways we seek to serve Christ by helping those in need. We host families who are temporarily homeless while they work to get back on their feet. Our next host week is June 24-July 1, 2012. To volunteer, please call the church office or send an email to ihn@Resurrectionumc.org. CARVE (Cereal, Applesauce, Rice, Vegetables and Everything) is the way we participate in giving food to the community. Bring your canned goods to church each week, and place them in the shopping cart to be blessed during worship. Our April 2012 total donated was 780 pounds! OPEN TABLE is our ministry to the homeless community on 15-501. Our church shares in the Eucharist on Monday morning with this community on 15-501 and then prepares and serves lunch on designated Wednesdays. Please call Patti Fife or the church office for more details. RUMC Housing Outreach Ministry (Formerly MERCI) helps with housing repair projects on the third Saturday of each month. Our Housing Outreach Ministry team invites everyone to join them in this important ministry. Contact Ron Cromartie at Merci@Resurrectionumc.org for more information.
