Our Mission Statement

The mission of RUMC is to be a community where all persons may receive the grace and forgiveness of God and become disciples of Jesus Christ. We gather to worship God, to proclaim the good news that Jesus is Lord and Savior, and to grow as believers and disciples. We seek to serve one another and the world by reaching out in love and service as Christ’s hands.

Mission Ministries

Interfaith Hospitality Network is one of the ways we seek to serve Christ by helping those in need.  Please call the church office to sign up, or contact Mandy VanDeusen at ihn@Resurrectionumc.org.

CARVE (Cereal, Applesauce, Rice, Vegetables and Everything) is the way we participate in giving food to the community. Bring your canned goods to church, and place them in the shopping cart to be blessed during worship.

OPEN TABLE is our ministry to the homeless community on   15-501. Our church shares in the Eucharist on Monday morning with this community on 15-501 and then prepares and serves lunch on designated Wednesdays. Please call Patti Fife or the church office for more details.

MERCI ministry (The Marion Edwards Recovery Center Initiative) was started to help people rebuild after hurricanes. This ministry has evolved throughout its life. Our MERCI team does a little of everything to help people in many ways. Contact Ron Cromartie at Merci@Resurrectionumc.org for more information.
